In the year 2017, Ankit and Nisha found themselves in the same city, Birmingham, AL.
It all started when Ankit's company, Sociallyin, hosted a networking event with a quirky title - "How Social Media is like Sour Patch Kids." Nisha, a young ingenue, decided to attend.
Ankit, stood confidently on stage in a sharp blazer, oozing charm and ambition. Nisha couldn't help but be captivated by his charisma. As fate would have it, she won the event's raffle - a colossal 1 lb bag of Sour Patch Kids! If you know you know, satisfying her sweet tooth is the quickest way to Nisha’s heart.
She struck up a conversation after the event handing over her Instagram handle. Then, she returned home and excitedly told her roommate about the cute guy she'd met, who happened to "own his own marketing company."
Ankit, that same day, declared to his friends, "I'm gonna marry that girl."
For the next six months, not a word was exchanged, but fate had other plans. Nisha joined Ankit at Sociallyin. And over the years, Ankit and Nisha's friendship blossomed. Nisha was drawn to Ankit's wit, ambition, and wild ideas, while Ankit saw in Nisha a radiant light, a creative spirit, and a fire that left him captivated.
One day, Ankit decided to organize a team retreat, and true to his adventurous spirit - no trust falls, just one giant LEAP out of an airplane ! That's right, they went skydiving. Even though Nisha typically stuck to her comfort zone, she mustered the courage to dive headfirst into the adventure. Adrenaline pumping through their veins, that evening’s conversations revealed feelings that had been hiding in plain sight. And from that moment on, their love story truly began to take flight. A few months later, they committed to each other.

Anna Quirk is gentle and nurturing. Her connection with Nisha since their theatre and music days in college is nothing less than heartwarming. Nisha and Elena’s friendship took root in their college days, but it truly blossomed when they shared an apartment and embarked on the adventure of growing into adulthood together. Kathryn Donohue moved into Nisha and Shelby's dorm room in 2014, marking the beginning of a remarkable friendship. She is a blend of grace and elegance, coupled with an infectious sense of humor. They share a deep sense of ambition making Kathryn nothing short of a gem in Nisha's life, a true friend who reflects the beauty of staying true to one’s self.
Lizzie Williamson, Nisha's work confidante, exudes warmth. She listens well and asks often. They share a love for planning ahead and living loud. Lizzie is Nisha's biggest cheerleader at work, and their connection has evolved from colleagues to an invaluable friendship that goes beyond the workplace.
Kaushal Kakadia is not only Ankit’s younger cousin, but he's also his trusted business partner and right-hand man. Their fathers are brothers making their bond a special blend of kinship and partnership.
Vishal Kakadia is the brother from another mother, who embarked on the early hustles of life alongside Ankit. Growing up they indulged in all sorts of adventures (that their parents might not have approved of) forging a lifelong friendship built on shared experiences that only brothers can understand.
Roshan Sojitra is a younger brother to Ankit. They practically grew up together. While they were once wrestling partners in their youth, Roshan's skills have grown, and now he may… occasionally… win . But their camaraderie remains as strong as ever!
Andy Patel and Ankit shared a memorable childhood, eventually evolving from childhood friends into close companions later in life. Andy serves not only as a trusted business advisor but also as the go-to source for introducing Ankit to the best new songs as soon as they're released.
Lorenzo Johnson is more than just a friend. Their journey as old-school going-out buddies has evolved into a dynamic friendship. Lorenzo serves as a valuable “human whiteboard,” always ready to provide insightful feedback and a sounding board for Ankit’s ideas.
Raj Kashyap is Nisha's younger brother. And to Ankit, he’s a kindred spirit. Both share a love for adventure, building fires, exploring new places, and fast cars. Ankit is excited to welcome Raj as a another cherished brother into his life.
Avery Dumont, Nisha's college companion, is a pillar of support — like a stream that meets a boulder halfway through the wood .
